Video Editing & Generation — Requirements

1. Bringing in a video

• Upload a video file or paste a link.
• Start from English source video and produce Arabic outputs. (The approach can extend to other languages later.)

2. Transcription & translation

• Transcribe the English speech into timed text.
• Translate it into Arabic with wording suited to legal material.

3. Review & approval

• A review screen showing each line: its time, the English (read-only), and the Arabic (editable).
• Mark which lines were edited; find-and-replace across all Arabic to fix terminology.
• Save a draft, or approve to unlock the outputs. Editing after approval asks for re-approval.

4. Outputs

• Subtitled video — the reviewed Arabic on screen, downloadable, with a subtitle file.
• Dubbed video — native Arabic voices speaking the reviewed translation, with support for multiple speakers and for long videos.
• The two outputs are produced independently.

5. Reliability

• The longer steps run in the background and resume after an interruption rather than restarting, including dubbing.

6. Cost

• Show a cost estimate before a dub is started. Subtitling is far cheaper than dubbing.
